- FEATURES -

Blind Spot Monitor
The radar has a beam angle up to 40 degrees, so it can detect rear vehicles even at corners.

Comprehensive Detection
The radar of L508 uses millimeter-wave pulse signals to provide comprehensive and stable detection of high-speed motor vehicles and even slow-moving bicycles.

5 Light Modes
Quick and easy switch with only one click between Solid Mode, Flashing Mode, Pulse Mode, Peloton Mode and Radar-only Mode.  Supports 220-degree wide viewing angle with visibility of up to 1.2km.

  • Peloton Mode - low brightness and a softer light to protect the eyes of fellow cyclists.
  • Flashing / Pulse Mode - after connecting to the Magene Utility APP, you can customise the interval.

Customise all light modes with Radar Easy On/Off.  Examples;

  • Flashing Mode + Radar ON - long-distance rides at night on open roads (for longer battery life)
  • Peloton Mode + Radar OFF - night group training on a closed road
  • Radar Only Mode - daytime riding on open roads

Smart Braking
Accelerometer can quickly detect and enter 3 seconds highlight mode even with slight braking, while ignoring shaking and small bumps to prevent false starts.

Vehicle Approach Warning
If a rear vehicle enter within 140 metres, the taillight enters flashing mode for 2 seconds.  This feature only activates when rear vehicle approach suddenly.

Auto-Sleep / Auto-Wake

Rob was fantastic to deal with. He spent time getting to know me so he could order the best bike for me. As soon as the bike arrive Rob did a thorough bike fit so I had a comfortable ride straight away. He was very knowledgeable and I will continue to shop and recommend Salters Cycles to others. Fantastic service. Thank you for all your help.

★★★★★

I've had all my servicing performed at the shop and happily bought my last bike through the shop ( which I love!).
The mechanics are awesome and have always helped out whenever I've had issues. When I broke a spoke and needed a wheel rebuild weeks before a big event the guys went out of their way to get me up and running again, the customer service was outstanding!
If you need a bike, this is the place.

Rob, Tim & Darren gave excellent value & exceptional service. My 12 year olds sons track racing & road racing bikes are now both running perfectly. Thank you for your prompt service & attention to detail.

Rob is so lovely and helpful. He pumped my tyres and also showed me how to do them myself. He also recommended a pump which I purchased and how to use it. I highly recommend Rob and his team.

Thank you Rob for pointing out the front wheel being installed improperly, avoiding a potential future bike injury and done for free.

Definitely a go to place for biking needs and fixes. They care for safe riding and your wellbeing on the roads.

There are bike shops and then there is Salter Cycles, the nicest bunch of knowledgeable blokes in the business, no wonder they have been going since 1990, thanks Rob and Tim for everything.

Had a new bike built recently by Tim at Salter Cycles which couldn't of been done better. All the components were assembled professionally and measurements set to a tee as per the bike fit data. Originally I had bought a HED wheelset here with great service throughout so when it came to a new frameset build the decision was a no brainer! The guys are passionate about riding and really know their stuff which made all the suggestions relevant. Also, thanks again Rob for recommending the frame colour, lovin it!

About Salter Cycles

Our Story

Salter Cycles began life in 1999 as a family business run by Geoff and Adrian Salter. Living and riding in the western suburbs we could see the growing need for a quality bike shop in the Altona, Altona Meadows, Laverton and Point Cook corridor. Both being life long cyclists and bike racers, our mission has always been to help our customers enjoy their bikes as much as we do.
