Thanks to Di2 technology and Shimano's EW-SD50 Electric Wire you can now enjoy stress-free operation of your electronic shifters. Dual core wires inside thin electric cables with 5.1mm diameter connectors at each end come in different lengths to streamline all connection points and keep everything on your bike looking neat and tidy.

Digital operation has many advantages including lightning fast response to signalled actions, effortless gear shifts and longer product durability due to the absence of depreciating factors such as contaminates, corrosion & stretching. EW-SD50 Electric Wire is primarily used to connect the junction (either SM-JC40 external or SM-JC41 internal) to the rear mech, front mech, battery and to the handlebar battery indicator junction box. Setting up the wires with the shifters and junction box is as easy as plugging them in and riding your bike. All you need to do is determine what length you need for your bike-specific purpose. Nothing could be easier!

  • Dual core electric wires with Di2 technology
  • Plug-and-play wire for Shimano's e-Tube Di2 electric-shifting systems
  • All e-Tube wires may be used for internal or external applications
  • Available in a variety of different lengths to suit bike-specific needs
  • Prevents depreciating factors such as contaminates, corrosion & stretching
  • Reliable and secure fitting ensured
  • Water-resistant connectors at each end
  • Length: 400mm

Rob was fantastic to deal with. He spent time getting to know me so he could order the best bike for me. As soon as the bike arrive Rob did a thorough bike fit so I had a comfortable ride straight away. He was very knowledgeable and I will continue to shop and recommend Salters Cycles to others. Fantastic service. Thank you for all your help.

I've had all my servicing performed at the shop and happily bought my last bike through the shop ( which I love!).
The mechanics are awesome and have always helped out whenever I've had issues. When I broke a spoke and needed a wheel rebuild weeks before a big event the guys went out of their way to get me up and running again, the customer service was outstanding!
If you need a bike, this is the place.

Rob, Tim & Darren gave excellent value & exceptional service. My 12 year olds sons track racing & road racing bikes are now both running perfectly. Thank you for your prompt service & attention to detail.

Rob is so lovely and helpful. He pumped my tyres and also showed me how to do them myself. He also recommended a pump which I purchased and how to use it. I highly recommend Rob and his team.

Thank you Rob for pointing out the front wheel being installed improperly, avoiding a potential future bike injury and done for free.

Definitely a go to place for biking needs and fixes. They care for safe riding and your wellbeing on the roads.

There are bike shops and then there is Salter Cycles, the nicest bunch of knowledgeable blokes in the business, no wonder they have been going since 1990, thanks Rob and Tim for everything.

Had a new bike built recently by Tim at Salter Cycles which couldn't of been done better. All the components were assembled professionally and measurements set to a tee as per the bike fit data. Originally I had bought a HED wheelset here with great service throughout so when it came to a new frameset build the decision was a no brainer! The guys are passionate about riding and really know their stuff which made all the suggestions relevant. Also, thanks again Rob for recommending the frame colour, lovin it!

About Salter Cycles

Our Story

Salter Cycles began life in 1999 as a family business run by Geoff and Adrian Salter. Living and riding in the western suburbs we could see the growing need for a quality bike shop in the Altona, Altona Meadows, Laverton and Point Cook corridor. Both being life long cyclists and bike racers, our mission has always been to help our customers enjoy their bikes as much as we do.
