What is the recommended maximum speed?

The kommit® is designed for your safety and comfort. We recommend that you cycle at speeds of up to 12 km/h for a smooth and enjoyable ride.

Are all saddles suitable for the kommit®?

The kommit® has been rigorously tested to ensure it performs up to the highest standards. When used in accordance with our instruction, no damage should occur. The system was not tested on saddles with lightweight struts, but high-quality telescopic supports were used.

Can the kommit® be used with e-bikes?

Yes, the kommit® is suitable for e-bikes.

Can the kommit® be used on public roads?

kommit® tow system is intended for off-road use. Check with your local transport department for up to date rules and regulations for use on public roads.

Our Story

Salter Cycles began life in 1999 as a family business run by Geoff and Adrian Salter. Living and riding in the western suburbs we could see the growing need for a quality bike shop in the Altona, Altona Meadows, Laverton and Point Cook corridor. Both being life long cyclists and bike racers, our mission has always been to help our customers enjoy their bikes as much as we do.
